22. God is Blessed

Wonder:

Blessed … “consecrated, sacred and holy,” “worthy of worship,” “supremely favored, fortunate,” “blissfully happy and contented.”

God is Blessed because He is the sum total of all that it means to be “the Holy and Perfect God.” This Attribute describes God as the One than Whom no greater, higher and better can exist, either in thought or in reality.

Word:

From Mount Zion, the perfection of beauty,
    God shines in glorious radiance.

Walk:

Finally, we need to live blessedly. Make sure that your self-talk is a blessing to your psyche. Bless yourself; don’t curse yourself. God doesn’t curse Himself, nor does He curse you. So stop cursing yourself. A good verse for self-talk is Philippians 4:8.

Live blessedly. This means not only bless yourself, but bless others, too. Bless other people: your loved ones, your family, your friends, your co-workers, your bosses, your neighbors, your critics, your fellow Christians and your enemies. It takes much less energy to bless others than it takes to be cranky and moody and negative with others.
